The hotel was right on the beach with a private deck to sit and enjoy the view, although in major need of renovations. The service was good and pleasant overall, with some exceptions. The location was overlooking the lake, but the property seemed very old and rundown. The dining experience was tolerable but not outstanding, with limited choices. The facilities included amenities like tennis courts and a pool.

Rooms

The room I stayed in, right next to the doorway in their Annex building, wasn't working in the living room, but the beachfront location with a private deck was a highlight.
Service
7.0
The service was good and pleasant, but some staff members were extremely rude to some of the guests.

The hotel is located close to popular attractions like Sandbanks Park and offers beautiful views. The rooms, however, seemed to have maintenance issues and lacked cleanliness, set in an old farm house. The service was outstanding, from the front desk to the restaurant staff, always friendly and helpful.

Rooms
5.0
The room appeared to have experienced a flood and was not very clean, located in a dingy basement.
Service

The service was amazing, with the staff being very helpful and friendly throughout our stay.
Location
8.0
The location was excellent, close to Bloomfield, Picton, and Sandbanks Park, making it convenient for exploring the area.

The only breakfast choice available was disappointing, lacking variety and updates in the dining room.
Facilities
6.0
While the facilities seemed outdated, the hotel had a fine bread restaurant, but improvements are needed.

7.2/10

The hotel is wonderfully located right next to Sandbanks Provincial Park, making it excellent for surrounding activities. The rooms were decent, with a window A/C unit compensating for the non-functional built-in unit, and a high-end jet tub that had a cheap plastic stopper. The service was attentive and friendly, though a bit disappointing in terms of the price value relation. Dining options were subpar for the price paid, especially the breakfast.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were fine but nothing extraordinary, with a window A/C unit making up for the non-functional built-in one. The high-end jet tub had a cheap plastic stopper instead of the built-in one.
Service
8.0
The service from the front desk to all the restaurant staff was attentive, helpful, and friendly, even at the beginning of the season. Though I expected more value for the payment made, they were still very accommodating.
Location
9.0
The location is wonderful, near Sandbanks Provincial Park and well-suited for various activities. However, it's essential to select your room carefully; requesting a balcony would be advantageous.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience, considering the price paid, was disappointing, with small dishes and a decline in quality over previous years, especially noticeable during breakfast.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were convenient, with well-kept surroundings close to Bloomfield, Picton, and Sandbanks. However, some aspects were disappointing, diminishing the overall experience.
